The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust

Four years is plenty.

High School is long gone and so is this xanga.

It's been fun; from the classic project panda, to the ill-fated jaquis and finally at end here at winterlong. I find I no longer care, nor have the time to update and after the blog explosion it's best I leave anyway. No reason for your 7th grade sister to stumble across this while she's searching for potential hotties.

College gives so many options for self-expression anyway; I'll try to get by without the eprops.

I'll leave this one up for novelties sake; maybe the pictures will cop a laugh or something. Best of luck fans, pay me a visit sometime at Temple.

RIP

Here are the remnants of some misguided thoughts written quite poorly with even worse grammar, enjoy.

I think I'm finally done buying stuff for college. Now it's a matter of packing everything. Which could prove tricky. I've got alot of trash bags though, i'll move into dorm with style.

It looks like i have but three days left in this town, then it's off to the city. Frankly despite some of the hardships of this summer, I have little or no complaints. I can't think of a time i've had more fun. I couldn't ask for better friends. It seems I'm finally feeling a little remorse about leaving. Oh well, I'll try to keep up with everyone...for a little while atleast. Really though, as soon as the first break rolls arounds i think my friends and i will be doing the same things yet again. Regardless how college plays out, it's somthing to look forward too.

later fans, you've been the best.

So Joe College and I leave for chicago tomorrow, I must say I'm pumped. I havent been out that way in a long while it's an amazing city and my relatives should make it a good time. Scott is actullay the first one of my friends to goto a "Rosati Family Party." You know the ones with the fashionable t-shirts?

Anyway, after chicago i have like a week until I leave for school. There is still so much I wanna do. This summer has gone far too fast. In a nutshell June was one big party, July was so mellow I forget what all I actullay did. Lately things have been quite memrable. The dream team manage to break our own record and win 5 straight games of pong, only to lose to team girl in the last cups of the sixth round. For shame. Congrats to team girl for crushing the dream.

So with the stones concert rapidly approaching i've rotated alot of their albums back in to the jeep. I'm gonna see the greatest rock band of all time, holy shit man. It got me thinking though what is my favorite stone's song? There are so many, it's not as hard as picking a beatles song in my opinion; but difficult none the less. First thing to come to mind was "Brown Sugar" I've heard it a million times but it's timeless. Then i leaned more torwards "Hony Tonk Women." I was back and forth between the two for awhile when i realised what i had disregarded as my favorite....*drumroll* "Only Rock'n Roll (But I like it)." So simple, so classic. It's not played nearly as much as the others, I mean the album "It's only Rock'n Roll" still good, but not as solid as its predecessors so it's over looked. So the song itself, for me atleast, got thrown on the bottom of the stones stack with like "beggars banquet" and "sticky fingers" on top. Wow, that was alot of thought, you probably dont care, but now i'm curious what's your favorite stones song?

In other news, i got a power book. It's pretty classy. I got an ipod too now I can be a college hipster.

I'll try to take some pictures in chicago or somthing. Later fans.

...oh, if anyone has pictures from this summer send me a copy, it'd be much appreciated.

Live from Mars

So it appears to me that a long entry that envolves your thoughts/feelings on what's actullay ocurring in your life get's no love from the xanga masses.  What do the masses want?  Picture spamming of course! Prom, drunken times, and camp outs are some favorites.  So to please the angry masses....

Que es esto...?

Ah espana, con mi amigo El Rey.  It's hard to think just a year ago i was wondering around streets of Madrid.   After talking to my friends Braque and Austin after their trip, I want to see even more of europe in college.

Beat.

...heh, well the picture being out of focus only adds to effect I guess.  Anyway, it was a rough day that started with good intentions.  Oh well,  I walked away with some stories atleast.

There.  I hope you are are entertained.  Shower me with comments. I'll expect the standard "oMg  AndY you looK sO badd in the pic!!!11"   Now that i've taken care of that on to somthing that will hopefully spur a legitame response.

So I'm listening to Ben Harper, fairly solid artist.  I was pretty close to buying ticktes for his show until today when i was offered some rolling stones tickets.  I know they are so expensive and the band is ready to fall over dead but damnit, it's the rolling stones. Fuck yeah! Damn the costs,  i owe it to myself to see them.  Maybe i'll go hungry for a few days next year in college, or just run out of clean laundry.  But i'll worry about it when the time comes.

I leave for Temple on sunday.  Four days of testing and fun at orientation...bah.  I'll be back on wenesday.  Give me a call during the days, i'll probably be bored out of my mind.

that's about it, not much else has been happening in the life of Andy.  Phil visited from Flordia, which was nice.  My friends made my birthday truly memorable, thanks.  Just kick'n it with the friends.  Fans, give me a call, drop me a line, we'll hangout or somthing.

later.

Pinkerton
By Weezer

This is probably my favorite Weezer album.  Most pick the blue one, but in my opinion all the raw emotion is what makes this one the best.  The solos are far superior to the Blue’s and frankly it show’s the bands loss of innocence.   It’s like Rivers captured himself on a record with all the thought going through his ADD riddled head for all to catch a glimpse.

“The Good Life”

The past week has been some of the best of times.  I must say that Wilco was one of best live concerts I’ve ever witnessed.  Jeff Tweety’s voice was incredible and seeing their guitarist just shape feedback in everyway imaginable made my night.  I urge you to see this band.

I’d also like to mention how good the “dream team” is at pong.  Townies beware.

“Why Bother”

Bringing up pong would help to explain Friday. Splitting up the dream team wasn’t a good idea.  At least for me.  The night didn’t go quite as planned.  It was quite fun, but some how hopes for a casual evening led to pressure washing vomit off a driveway.  Not to mention running home from East Brooke at 1:00 AM.  Seriously who does that…? The nice guys?  I guess.  What the hell Andy?  As Abhay put it “you deserve a fruit basket.”  I would’ve hoped.  But the same guy also stated “nice guys finish last,” so true.  Gotta move on.

“El Scorcho”

I shouldn’t dwell on that.  Hell, it made for an interesting story at least. Risky as hell though, I could have had another Penn State on my hands.  Just keeping looking in the wrong places I guess, get close and then you get burnt.

“Tired of Sex”

Ha, if only.  But hey that’s what college is for. Can’t let celibacy get you down.  The summer will keep moving and hopefully I will to.  I have my birthday on Thursday, no plans yet except for work (except for work 2-7) any ideas?

Until later fans.

…Sorry if the above didn’t make sense to you.  If you don’t know the stories I’ll gladly explain them to you.  And well, if you like pinkerton the rest should fall into place.
